How long does it take to complete an Edmentum course?

With our certified teachers to help students stay on track, students are given 18 weeks to complete a (semester-long) course. However, for those learners taking diplomas, students are given four years from enrolling to achieve the preset requirements and finish their high school graduation program.

What is the course grade on Edmentum?

Edmentum displays two grades for each course: ● Current Grade​ - Defines coursework completed and scored to date. Course Grade​ - Is the overall ​grade​ based on all activities within the ​course​ (complete and incomplete).

Do you have to do the tutorials on Edmentum?

The Application is optional. It will give you more practice in that area of study. After you do the tutorial, you can take the Mastery Test. The Mastery Test is usually 5-10 questions.

What can teachers see on Edmentum?

Once you login to Edmentum you will arrive at what is referred to as the “Sensei” dashboard. An overview of this dashboard can be found by clicking “Help Center – Sensei Overview” on the right when logged in as a teacher. From this area you can see student Alerts, Unlock mastery tests, and view student progress.

Can you retake post test on Edmentum?

A retake can be requested as early as the following day. EdOptions Academy teachers cannot reset end of semester tests. To reset the end of semester test, contact the Academy Support team at 866-890-8153, option 4.

How are Edmentum grades calculated?

Module (Online Instruction and Tutorials) 50% (Formative) Writing Assessments (Discussion) 15% (Summative) Course Activity 10% (Summative) Post Unit Test 25% (Summative) (If a course does not have a Course Activity then discussion is 25%) These grades will be calculated in Edmentum to be the Course Grade.
