What happened at Merced Union High School?
Sam Yniguez, Merced Union High School District spokesman, said multiple fights broke out before noon. Staff tried to intervene but were unsuccessful. Due to the number of students involved, police were called to the scene and the campus was put on lockdown.

How to request a transfer to GUHSD?
Using the Campus Portal, you may request a school transfer through March5, 2021, 4:00 pm. Additional instructions for completing the transfer request form will be provided at www.guhsd.net. All transfer requests must be submitted online. Applications will not be accepted by mail, over the phone, or in person. If the number of applicants to a particular school exceeds the number of available spaces, students are selected via random lottery. Requests are not granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
