Over the holiday break on December 27, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released new guidance on how to respond to situations when an individual tests positive for COVID, as well as for those who have been identified as a close contact. On December 30, the Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) issued similar new guidance.

Late this afternoon the Pennsylvania Supreme Court vacated the mask mandate for K-12 schools and childcare facilities. We are still gathering details about this latest development and the status of the Order.
Earlier this week, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court announced that the original Department of Health mask Order from the Department of Health remains in place. The Supreme Court shared that they would provide a ruling in this case, but until that time, the Order is still in effect and enforceable.
