Catering, allergies and free school meals

The school dinners are provided by Accent Catering and cooked freshly on site. The school is a nut-free environment, so the meals are nut-free.The children have vegetables every day. The dessert choice includes pudding and fruit. Children in Keystage 1 also have fruit in the morning break.

What is custody? What are visiting rights?

As long as the parents live together, they usually hold custody over their children jointly. However, if the parents get divorced or split up, they need to decide how this responsibility will be exercised in the future.

Who decides on the custody and visiting rights?

The parents may decide on these matters by mutual agreement. A mediator or lawyer can help if the parents do not manage to reach an agreement. Visit the link at the bottom of this page to find a mediator.

Will the decision of the court be enforced in the other EU country?

A mechanism for the recognition and enforcement of decisions ensures that the decision of the court is applied in other EU countries once it has been issued. This makes it easier for those with parental responsibility to exercise their rights.

Which EU rules apply?

The rules settling cross-border matters between children and their parents are part of the Brussels IIa Regulation. These rules apply equally to all children, whether they are born in wedlock or not. The Brussels IIa Regulation is the cornerstone of EU judicial cooperation in matrimonial matters and matters of parental responsibility.

Safety and Security

The number one goal for the Department of Public Safety is to ensure the safety of students, staff, faculty and those who visit our campus. We have 18 employees in our department, and three uniformed officers are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Academics

Many college freshmen start classes without having decided on a major, and many students will change their major at some point in their college career. College is a natural time of growth and exploration. Assure your student that it is OK to enter college without a declared major.

Health and Wellness

Evangel’s Health Services office in the Wellness Center functions as an acute care, walk-in facility. A licensed Family Nurse Practitioner provides primary healthcare services (diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions) at no cost to students. Nominal fees are charged for immunizations, laboratory tests and some procedures.

Spiritual Life

We understand that your student’s spiritual development is a primary concern for you – and we share that concern. Our job at Evangel is to take over where you as parents left off at home and help our students mature in the faith that their parents and churches have instilled in them.

Residence Life

There are several steps in place at Evangel to proactively work toward solving roommate problems. First, students are encouraged to take any problems they may have to their residence assistant (RA). The RA is trained to coach students on how to talk to their roommates and set up new boundaries.
