The East Windsor Regional School District utilizes Parent Portal to allow for parents of children in grades K – 12 to access gradebook, attendance, schedule and demographic information. Teachers send parents updates utilizing this system as well.
In accordance with the National School Lunch Program, EWRSD will be providing free school meals for all students for the 2021-2022 school year. P-EBT benefits eligibility is determined by submitting an application for Free and Reduced-Price School Meals. Families must re-apply for the Free & Reduced lunch program at the start of each school year.
The elevation of holiday-related positive COVID cases in the community and region has created staffing challenges within each of our schools. Therefore, the EWRSD will need to temporarily transition all of our schools to remote learning from January 10 - 14, 2022.
The EWRSD has partnered with MedLife Diagnostic Laboratories from Lawrence, NJ to offer PCR testing for EWRSD students, staff, and families. MedLife accepts all forms of insurance and the uninsured will be covered by the CARES Act. There is no out-of-pocket cost.

The ARP Act provides Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) funds to school districts to support the safe reopening of schools in September 2021. The ARP Act requires each District that receives ARP ESSER funds to develop and make publicly available on its website, a plan for the safe return to in-person instruction and continuity of services for all schools (EWRSD Safe Return Plan).
The East Windsor Regional School District currently uses a program called SchoolMessenger to communicate on a large scale with district staff and parents. These communications take the form of emails or phone calls. In an effort to provide faster and more direct messages, the district will begin to utilize SMS or text messaging, as well.

Students attending school in the hybrid cohorts need to fill out a daily attestation form completed BEFORE arriving at school. Parents can access the attestation form in the Genesis Parent Portal ; The directions take you through the steps.
To ensure that every child in every classroom has a highly qualified teacher, the state of New Jersey and our school district are working together to help teachers meet the requirements of the federal law by providing several options. Teachers will be able to take a new test, or they can demonstrate their expertise through a combination of college coursework, professional development activities, and experience.
The law requires that schools receiving Title I funds must inform parents of their right to ask schools about the qualifications of their child's teachers. We believe all parents have this right and we are happy to share this information with you at your request.
