“Our school is not your typical school.” It is a vibrant community, offering excellence right on Fish Hoek’s doorstep. We live and breathe holistic education in a school that never sleeps. There are opportunities too numerous to mention, everyone has their niche…
Parents of students enrolled in the Junior/Senior High will have online access to student schedules, attendance, New York State Education Department assessment parent reports, CSH progress reports and report cards for grades 7 through 12, and unofficial transcripts for grades 9 through 12.
If you have more than one child attending FHSD schools, your Campus Parent account will have access to all students in your family. Once logged in, parents can switch between students by selecting the arrow next to the photo of the current student. A drop down menu will appear with a list of available students.
Campus Parent and Campus Student were designed to be responsive for use on computers or mobile devices. How do parents and students access the Campus Parent and Campus Student Portals? What if I have multiple students in the District?
Who is eligible to have a Campus Parent account? Parents of current students are eligible to activate a Campus Parent Portal account, after agreeing to the terms and conditions of use.
The Activation Key is only needed the first time users access the portal. After that, the activation key will not work and the username that was created should be used to log into the Campus Parent account.
Outside of your scheduled period time, visit your teachers during Virtual Office Hours or email them to check in and ask questions. While you are encouraged to stay at home and practice social distancing, reach out to your friends and classmates so you stay connected.
Support your student by setting up a routine together and allowing for variation on how and when your student works. Monitor their stress level, participation in class check-ins, and ability to complete assignments. This is not the time to add supplemental learning opportunities.
Schoology (our district’s learning management system) will be the homebase for your classes. Your teachers will communicate to you in their Remote Learning Green Sheet (syllabus) which system they will use. It is possible that you may be using one system for some classes and the other system for other classes. Teachers will post assignments, resources, and grades through this system.
This may include a quiet work space where the student can use a textbook and complete writing assignments or use an electronic device such as a computer. As much as possible, minimize potential distractions such as a TV. Be sure to schedule time for your student to take a mental break, get a snack or some fresh air: we suggest a 15 minute break for every 1.5 to 2 hours of work. Creating structure for your student will help them focus and use their time effectively.
Welcome to Remote Learning in FUHSD. We realize that this school closure is a big change and that you may be feeling anxious about what this means for your education. This guide will help you understand what Remote Learning will look like for you, and how you can be successful in this different learning environment.
Schedules (Junior/Senior High): No, these documents will only be accessible via the portal. Daily updates to the schedules will be posted to the portal during the first two weeks of school.
Your children’s privacy is extremely important to us; as such, the district has elected not to send usernames and passwords via US mail. Instead, account access will only be granted after your application, completed online, has been thoroughly reviewed by district personnel. If the information you’ve supplied to us online does not match the information we have on file, your application will be denied, and you will be notified via email. Once your application has been approved your account will remain active as long as you have children attending the Cold Spring Harbor school district.
If printing from the portal, note that the portal version of the transcript is unofficial and is for your information only, as it is formatted differently from the official transcript that is sent to colleges, scholarship/summer programs, and employers.
Parents of all students enrolled in Goosehill will have access to daily attendance and CSH report cards.
