Summer Intensive Audition

Aladdin BY Florida Dance Theatre

ALADDIN, A fusion of contemporary ballet and folk dance styles rooted in Armenian culture, take a journey through the marketplace, mystical cave of wonders, and more! With original choreography by Stefan Dolbashian, this production is filled with tremendous athleticism and whimsical delight.

The Nutcracker

The Nutcracker, presented by Florida Dance Theatre will be held December 18 & 19 at Florida Southern College Branscomb Auditorium. This timeless holiday classic is not to be missed.

The Hope Movement

Join Florida Dance Theatre for The Hope Movement. A weekend filled with local dance artists from around Central Florida will gather on the weekend of October 23rd-24th to celebrate mental health and wellness.

Nutcracker auditions are back!

The Florida Dance Theatre is excited to announce that once again our auditions for The Nutcracker are open to the public. We are thrilled to see the very many talented dancers from our local area join us for this time-honored and treasured holiday performance.

CAROL ERKES - FOUNDER of FLORIDA DANCE THEATRE

Ms. Erkes, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, brought to Lakeland a world of experience as both a professional dancer and teacher. She began her professional career at the age of 15 performing with the Ohio Chamber Ballet/Ohio Ballet in Akron.
