Florida Virtual School® & Grom Social Launch App to Ground Students in Math with Out-of-this-World Action. To help make math more accessible to students by making it fun, Zach Marks and Grom Social have teamed up with Florida Virtual School (FLVS®) to launch an exciting new math app called Solar Skate.
To verify a request, log into your account and go to the student dashboard page. Click on the green checkmark next to the red “X” icon on the right-hand side of the page to complete the parent/guardian enrollment verification.
Students will be placed in their requested courses as soon as possible, in most cases, within 72 hours after completing registration and required approvals. Occasionally placement may take longer due to high enrollment, during these times we strive to place students within 14 days of your selected preferred start date.
The FLVS Learning Management System is now integrated with Turnitin.com and most work is automatically uploaded to the system. This database compares students' work against other students' work, as well as work found on the internet.
What is the difference between OCVS and FLVS? OCVS is a school and a part of Orange County Public Schools. FLVS is the curriculum and platform which is utilized by OCVS. OCVS courses are taught by local OCPS teachers.
FLVS Homeschool We provide Kindergarten-12th grade homeschool students a variety of flexible options, offering choices in course schedule and pace. Attendance Requirements FLVS Full Time: Students are required to attend the Class Time live teacher instruction three days per week. FLVS Flex: Although attendance of Class Time live teacher instruction is not required, it is strongly recommended that they attend at least two sessions per week.
Students who are homeschooled through an umbrella school or correspondence program will generally receive a diploma from that institution. Similarly, students who are educated at home through a virtual charter school or online public school are granted diplomas through those programs.

Students must earn a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale for all cohort years and pass statewide, standardized assessments unless a waiver of assessment results is granted by the IEP team for students with disabilities. * Eligible courses are specified in the Florida Course Code Directory.
Attendance. Students enrolled in FLVS Full Time must meet compulsory attendance requirements. Attendance must be recorded on a regular and ongoing basis, and these students have the same guidelines related to truancy as students in brick-and-mortar schools.
As FLVS Flex is the curriculum provider, we do not calculate GPA. You can calculate a general GPA by using this basic formula.
