1 each year.#N#VPK gives each child an opportunity to perform better in school and throughout life with quality programs that include age-appropriate curricula with a strong emphasis on early literacy skills, accountability, manageable class sizes and qualified instructors.

What is school readiness in Florida?

The School Readiness program is for children within low-income families, preparing them to start kindergarten ready to learn. Throughout Florida, the program serves families with children ranging in age from birth to five years-old. Our partnership with the Children's Services Council has allowed for additional child care slots for children ranging in age from birth to twelve years-old, through the CSC Scholarship Program (see below).
