Galloway is a school that celebrates, values, and welcomes the diversity of the human experience.
The Galloway Parents Association strives to promote a close relationship among parents, students, faculty, and administrators. Led by officers who are nominated and elected annually, the Parents Association sponsors, coordinates, and supports services, events, and activities which encourage community spirit, promote understanding of the Galloway philosophy, and enrich the educational and social development of our students.
The Galloway Parent Book Club meets several times per year to discuss a book selected by the group. The book club is free of charge, open to our entire parent community, and readers may join at any time during the year.
The Ambassador Program works in conjunction with Admissions to welcome both prospective and new families to Galloway. The goal of the Ambassador program is to provide familiar, friendly faces to new families throughout their entire Admissions process.
Communications is the liaison between the Parents Association and the Galloway Communications Department and serves as the editor for any and all material published in the Gazette and/or the Parent Portal regarding the Parents Association. The goal is to raise community awareness of the Parents Association--who we are, what we do--which will help generate interest and volunteers.
Volunteers make all the differences! Opportunities to get involved include classroom activities, parent education, fine arts, teacher appreciation, special events, the school store, library, book club, concession sales, and so much more. From one-time to year-round, for leaders and followers, on campus and off, with other parents, faculty and/or students, in the classroom or on the laptop, there is an important job waiting for every parent or guardian at Galloway. Every parent or guardian of a current Galloway student is automatically a member of the PA — no dues required.
The parent education liaisons help support the programs of the principals and counselors to inform parents of developmental and educational milestones for children. Volunteers often help with topic development, provide light snacks and beverages at events, and help support and promote these educational events.
