Parents can play many roles in sport: current or former athlete, coach, fan, motivator, role model or critic. A few studies have shown that family members may influence an athlete’s involvement and achievement in sport more than coaches. What is Pell-eligibility?

Pell-eligibility is calculated by the U.S. Department of Education after a student submits the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It is based on family contribution, status as a full-time student, and the student’s academic plans. The household income of Pell-eligible students varies.

Can my child use the scholarship funds to study any major?

Yes. There are no restrictions on major. The program funds the completion of a bachelor’s degree in the Scholar’s choice of major.

Are there restrictions on the institution my child can attend?

Yes. A student must plan to enroll full-time, in a four-year degree program, at a US accredited, not-for-profit, private or public college or university.

Gates Chili Central School District uses Schoology, an integrated learning management system that provides course management, mobile learning, and supports system-wide communication.

Schoology Parent Accounts

Gates Chili CSD provides primary parents/guardians with Schoology accounts. Providing this access will allow families to view student's Schoology courses, view activity within the platform, and follow their learning more closely.
