Hello GWHS community!! It is our hope that all of our readers had a wonderful and restful Spring break. For all of the hard work and effort that our students, teachers and families have put in this year it was a break well deserved.
We know that this year has been filled with many uncertainties for our families so we want to share some important information about what you can expect for the remainder of the school year.
George Washington High School's Parent Advisory Council held our monthly 4th Wednesday meeting on Wednesday March 24th, several parents, students, teachers, and community members attended the meeting, and provided input on several of our school's initiatives and upcoming plans. The U.S. Congress created the Pandemic – Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) Program in Spring 2020 to help families buy food while schools were closed due to COVID-19. More P-EBT funds are being issued to families for the 2020-2021 school year.
