Gladwyne Montessori is an independent Montessori school on Philadelphia’s Main Line. Since 1962, our students have excelled in area middle and high schools and gone on to succeed at top colleges and universities across the country. A Gladwyne Montessori education combines the time-tested and visionary insights of Dr.

Lead Teacher

Elizabeth grew up in New Jersey and always knew she wanted to teach young children. Elizabeth taught kindergarten in Maryland before staying home to raise her three sons. She joined Gladwyne Montessori as a parent and has worked as the lead teacher in the Parent-Toddler program (and Toddler department) since 2016.

Auction

Every year, our community comes together to raise funds from the school. A theme is selected, donations are collected, and then the fun begins!

Book Fair

Be the first to see great new books, help students write their wish lists or help set-up when you volunteer for the Book Fair. Teachers, children and parents can shop from a wonderful selection of new books and donate books to their classroom.

Community Service

Throughout the year, there are various community service opportunities to participate in. These opportunities foster a deeper commitment and understanding to community service here at home, regionally and globally.

Day of Service

Each year, our school comes together in January to give back to our larger community. We hope this is a way to either continue your family's ongoing service work or to provide a way for your family to start volunteering.

Fall Festival

Our Fall Family Festival is a family highlight! The festival typically includes a petting zoo, pony rides, balloon artists, face painting, amazing food and more. You can even take home an airbrushed pumpkin with a special decoration.

PTA Meetings

PTA Meetings are typically held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, alternating between daytime and evening, with the exception of December. Weather depending, meetings will be held in person, at the Administrative house, across the school parking lot.

Parent Education

Throughout the year, there are various workshops, classes, and events for parents to get tips from parenting and child experts. Education at Gladwyne Montessori isn't just for the children!
