What is Goosehill Primary's social action club?

Goosehill Primary has been focusing on celebrating and understanding diversity in their curriculum, and on April 16 they were thrilled to welcome the help of high school students from the Social Action Club. Advisors, Elana Axelrod and Dr. Beth Chase, had their high school club members collaborate via Zoom with the first grade to talk about topics of diversity and celebrating our own individual characteristics.

What is Goosehill inspired by?

Goosehill first-grade students produced an art project inspired by women in West Africa who paint their houses after the rainy season. They use patterns with a variety of lines and shapes to decorate their homes as well as the fabric of their clothes. The students made art that contrasts the muted colors of their mud homes with the brightly colored clothing they wear.
