The Grand Island Central School District will hold a substitute recruitment job fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, at Grand Island High School, 1100 Ransom Road. Substitutes are currently needed in all areas at the district office, high school, middle school, and three elementary schools.
For temporary assistance, call the Foundation at 773-1452 or 773-7476. All inquiries are confidential. The Foundation provides confidential emergency assistance, primarily food, for Grand Island residents who find themselves in temporary need.

Students have access to many valuable online digital resources. At the time of review, the following list of resources met district criteria deeming them curricularly aligned and safe for student use. Vendors may change their Terms of Service and Privacy Policies; therefore, approval statuses are subject to change.

Offering services on all district half days (elementary), from dismissal through 6:00 PM
Full day programs on Superintendent's Conference days and the full day Parent Teacher Conference Day, at one of the district schools. Programming runs 7:30-5:30 daily. Like Break Camps, this is an a la carte service and registration is separate from the regular before/after school programs.

The school tool ™ Parent Portal is one of many ways to keep in touch with your child's academic progress, and is available to all parents in the Gouverneur Central School District, regardless of your child's grade level. The Parent Portal is a component of the school tool ™ student information system, and allows parents and legal guardians to view their child's class schedule, grades, assignments, attendance record, discipline history, and contact information from any device that can access the internet.
Parents and guardians must request access to Parent Portal. To do so, click on the link below and fill out the form. Your email address must be linked to your child's account manually. We encourage you to take advantage of this system and check it often throughout the school year.
Your username is your full email address provided to us at the time you enrolled for a new parent portal account.
