Greer Middle School is in need of mentors to support our students. Mentoring is not a large time commitment, but it does make a big difference in the lives of our Greer Middle students.
All parents/guardians are invited to join our Greer Middle School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA). Your membership helps make a difference. It is only $5 to join for the 2021-22 school year.
The Greer Middle School Improvement Council created a Caring Closet to support the needs of all students. It is stocked with hygiene and clothing items to help meet students' basic needs so they can better learn.
GMS like to use the expertise and experience of our parent and community members to inspire our students. How you can help: Parents and community members are invited to complete the form linked below to volunteer to speak about their career field to inspire GMS students.
Each family is asked to either volunteer for 36 hours per school year at GMC or donate items the school requests through the Charter Barter Program - $10 = 1 service hour.
Service Hours for the 21/22 School Year will begin June 1st. Parents log their volunteer hours under the volunteer tab of My Food Days. Students log their hours via this form.
Students that ordered lunch will be credited for those days.
Online instruction will not be provided. Remote access to the classroom is at the discretion of the teacher. Students not in the classroom will be counted absent by the teacher. The GMC attendance code will be followed (pp. 12-13 of the student handbook).
Students can begin taking Dual Credit college courses beginning their sophomore year at Greer Middle College. Students who pass a Dual Credit college course receive credit for both a completed high school course at the Advanced Placement level and college course credit toward a college degree.
Any student who qualifies for the program must complete and sign a GMC Middle College Program Contract . Two important provisions of this contract are:
Students are responsible for completing all required Dual Credit registration paperwork each semester, as well as meeting all outlined deadlines. The Counseling Department will communicate to students and parents when registration paperwork is available and deadlines for registration.

Currently accepting applications for rising Freshmen for the 2022-2023 School Year. The student must be a rising Freshman and be a resident of South Carolina. It is encouraged, but not required, that the student and parent (s) attend the Information Night and/or a School Tour prior to applying.
