What's new at Guilford County Schools?

A new feature is now available through Guilford County Schools that allows you to access your child’s school information and connect with his or her teacher more easily. PowerSchool Parent Portal is part of the state’s new student information system, called PowerSchool. It replaces Parent Assistant but offers many of the same features and more.

What is the interactive resource center?

The Interactive Resource Center is a day center in Greensboro for people who are homeless or trying to keep from becoming homeless. They offer essential services such as laundry, mail, showers, and a medical clinic. A veteran’s representative is on staff as well as a disability lawyer. Guests have access to a computer lab to prepare a resume and search for employment. They offer GED classes in partnership with GTCC. During the holidays, faith and community partners generally provide a meal for guests.

Does Angel Tree provide free meals?

Free meals are served. They also operate an Angel Tree gift-giving program and feed seniors. The social service agency also coordinates case management, has a thrift store, and other programs.
