As part of its calendar development process, Gwinnett County Public Schools has gathered feedback on calendar options for next school year. This feedback--collected at the local school level from various groups, including students, staff, and parents--provided direction that has led to the development of a proposed 2022-23 school calendar.
"Teaching Gwinnett" is a Gwinnett County Public Schools podcast that tackles important, relevant, and timely topics that impact the school district's more than 200,000 students and staff. GCPS continues to focus on the health and safety of students and staff during the pandemic.

The members of the Gwinnett County Board of Education voted 5-0 to approve Dr. Calvin Watts—a former GCPS school leader and assistant superintendent who has most recently served as Superintendent of Kent School District in Washington—as its sole finalist for superintendent.
Every year, GCPS recognizes a male and female student at each high school who has shown excellence in athletics, academics, and leadership roles in the school and community service. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing our outstanding senior athletes from the Class of 2020.
This summer’s K-8 learning experience is set for June 14 to July 2. The focus on enrichment and acceleration is intended to help students get a head start on next year’s learning.
