How do I grant access to parents/others on my Hamilton?

Login using your My Hamilton username/password To grant access to parents/others, click on Add New under Parent PINs. An email from CASHNet will be sent that says the student has added you as a user/payer, access the provided link to set up your profile.

What is Hamilton College doing to help you pay your bills?

Hamilton College partners with Blackboard/CASHNet to provide electronic billing statements, accept electronic payments, administer its Time Payment Plan and provide online 1098-T statements. Login/sign-up to view statements and/or pay student account online.

How do I create a parent/other account for a student?

Enter the Student Account Number (Hamilton College ID), the Student Date of Birth in the format YYYYMMDDD as the “Shared Secret” and select Parent/Other Once student has approved, parent/other will receive an email with their password to login in and create profile.

What is the purpose of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974?

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (commonly referred to as "FERPA") is designed to protect the confidentiality of the records that educational institutions maintain on their students and to give students access to their records to assure the accuracy of the content. The act affords students certain rights with respect to their education records.

Is FERPA protected by a student's grades?

Grades and all other student education records are protected by FERPA (see below). In compliance with the law, this "non-directory" information requires the student's written consent prior to its release by a school official to any source outside the College, including parents. Students check their final grades online and can give parents access to their semester grades through My Hamilton. Students may also print a copy of their grades. Grades are not sent to the student by mail.

Payment Plan

Hamilton has partnered with Blackboard/CASHNet to provide an Installment Payment Plan (IPP) option for the 2021-22 academic year. IPP Enrollment is by semester. An administration fee of $35 is charged per semester.

Tuition Insurance Plan

The Tuition Insurance Plan is designed to protect students and families from the loss of tuition, room and board should a student find it necessary to withdraw from the College because of illness, accident, or other medical reasons.

Obtaining Student Enrollment Verification Certificate

  1. Visit the clearinghouse website
  2. Click the Students tab
  3. Click on Enrollment Verify, then click Credit Card Purchase. There is a $2.50 fee per certificate, which you can charge to your Visa, MasterCard or American Express Credit Card.
  4. Print your Enrollment Verification Certificate.
