What is the parent portal?

The Parent Portal provides a way for parents to observe their child's attendance, assignments and grades, as well as easily email teachers. This access allows parents to keep more informed about what is happening with their children in school. The Parent Portal is part of our Student Information System (SIS).

Is the Parent Portal open for elementary schools?

Elementary schools will open the Parent Portal only on a pilot basis (a handful of elementary classrooms), since elementary schools are also transitioning to a new type of progress reporting (Standards-based report cards).

Test Optional Policy for the class entering the fall of 2022

Due to disruptions caused by the Covid-19 outbreak, Hampden-Sydney College will offer a test-optional admission policy for the class entering the fall of 2022.
