It’s easier than ever for HCPS families to find the right online school services and resources. Now, when you visit the sites below, you’ll see answers to two questions: Who can sign up?
Because some other digital services such as Online Forms and MySchoolBucks are accessed through the PowerSchool Parent Portal, you should create this account first. By creating a PowerSchool Parent Portal account, you’ll also get the access code you’ll need to set up parent access to Schoology, HCPS’ online learning management system.
Please remember to keep your students at home if they are sick or have symptoms like fever, sinuses, upset stomach. If a student or family member is displaying symptoms and getting tested keep your other student home until the results of the COVID test.
Does your student need a little extra help? Are you able to pick up your student after tutoring? We are beginning tutoring on 2/15. Some teachers may require students to attend to provide them with a small group opportunity. We have teachers covering each grade level in the areas of math and reading. 8th grade will also have science assistance.
Absence notes should be turned in to the front office within 5 days of the absence. If a student is quarantined by the school or the school is notified we have been noting these absences as 1D. Please make sure to send in absences notes NOW for this grading period. Attendance notes will be going out starting this week.
We have a Panther Closet on campus that is used for our students who need coats, shoes, jeans, etc. as you are out shopping please consider donating items. We always need coats and tennis shoes. We are looking for sizes small-2x. At this time we are not able to accept used items.
We need your help! Students are still adjusting to being back in the classroom full-time. Our focus has been to grow our students and help bridge the gaps. We have several prizes for the next drawing that will take place in January but will need to continue to expand our prizes for the remainder of the grading periods this year.

PowerSchool gives families with students in pre-K through grade 12 easy access to class grades, attendance information and student schedules. The portal also gives you “single sign-on” access to other online services such as RYCOR Online Forms and MySchoolBucks, without having to create accounts specifically for those sites. The online student information tool comes in two versions: one for students, and one for parents and guardians. While students get their accounts automatically, parents and guardians need to create an account.
Schoology can be accessed using a browser on a computer, phone or tablet, or by downloading the app for Apple or Android devices . Please note that the app has some restrictions and does not display all menu options.
The Schoology access code is available in PowerSchool Parent Portal under the Schoology icon.
MySchoolBucks is for all students, in pre-K through grade 12.
