What is the new Aspen Parent Portal?

The New Aspen Parent Portal Chicago Public Schools is excited to announce that starting April 22nd, 2019, Parent Portal will be replaced with a new system called Aspen. Aspen will provide the same capabilities of the old Parent Portal while adding new features including Graduation Requirements, Student Fees and a new, easy-to-use mobile interface.

What is HCPSS connect?

HCPSS Connect. HCPSS Connect provides access to a variety of student information and classroom instructional tools offering personalized communication and timely, relevant and easily accessible information relating to your student.

Why do I need to verify my contact information in Aspen?

In Aspen, your contact information should be verified and merged into a single account in order for all of your children to appear in your Parent Portal account. This allows for more efficient security and management.

What are the system requirements for the parent portal?

The Parent Portal also supports Konqueror on the Linux platform. * Minimum Windows requirements: 486/66-MHx processor; Windows 98; 16 MB RAM; 12 MB of free hard drive space. Mac OS 9 operating system; and Internet Explorer 5.17, Firefox, or Safari; or Mac OS X operating system; and Internet Explorer 5.2 or greater, Firefox, or Safari.

When is the HCPSS graduation 2021?

HCPSS Class of 2021 graduation ceremonies can be viewed anytime online and rebroadcast through July 1 on Howard County cable. Photos from each ceremony will be shared by June 11 via HCPSS Flickr.

Parent Portal Minimum Computer Requirements

Windows operating system*, such as XP or Vista; and Internet Explorer versions 6 or 7 or recent releases of Firefox or Safari.

PLEASE NOTE: The Aspen Parent Portal account creation process has been simplified! The second email has been removed. Once you click "Create my Account," go ahead and log directly on to the Parent Portal.

Family Tab

On the family tab you will find demographic information on your student (s). Once on the tab you will have side-tabs to navigate through pages. When you first enter this tab you will see your student (s) name (s) listed.

Academics Tab

The academics tab shows your student’s classes and grades. You will first be brought to a summary view of your student’s current year including all classes they are in, the current term performance and an attendance summary. Please note, term performance may not be available depending on the grade level and class.

Calendar Tab

The calendar tab shows your student’s assignments on a calendar display. You can double-click on each one for more information.
