How many hours do you need to be a Pauahi Keiki Scholar?

The required number of Ho‘oulu Kaiäulu activity hours range from 10 to 20 hours per year, depending on the age of the recipient and scholarship program. Ho‘oulu Kaiäulu activities give scholarship recipients and their families an opportunity to cultivate Native Hawaiian identity through cultural engagement, leadership, and service. It is our hope that through these activities, families will learn and grow individually, within their family, and community.

Does Hooulu Kaiäulu have a scholarship?

A1: Yes, each scholarship has specific Ho‘oulu Kaiäulu activity requirements that must be completed to ensure award checks are sent to the selected school. Requirements must be completed to ensure continued scholarship opportunities or to keep your keiki in good standing with KS. Specific program requirements can be found in the Terms and Conditions of your award.
