Family eSpace is a Hofstra-supported, student-authorized online portal designed to inform and engage family members of Hofstra students. Parents and family members can access forms such as the My Information form, where they advise us of their engagement preferences, and the Authorization – Minor Student form for students under the age of 18.
There are lots of ways to be an active part of the Pride as a parent or family member. There are plenty of resources to help you as you support your Hofstra student, including information on financial services, academic support, and life on campus. You are members of Hofstra Pride as much as your students.
The Hofstra portal is the primary avenue the University uses to communicate with your students. It is available 24/7 so that students can monitor their University records, including financial aid award information.
Welcome to Hofstra's Family Orientation! The parents and family members of incoming new students learn about transition to college, academics and campus life through information sessions and interaction with staff and students. Please note that Family Orientation program is separate from New Student Orientation.

First-year students are notified of outstanding requirements on their financial aid notification letter (which is mailed beginning March 15 and on a rolling basis thereafter). Continuing students are notified via their Hofstra email account. Missing documentation notifications are sent via email to all students on a monthly basis once they have registered.
There is no separate application for Hofstra scholarships. Students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships upon the submission of their application. All merit-based scholarship notifications are sent with the student’s acceptance letter.
Hofstra has several financial aid alternatives, including an interest-free payment plan . Students and families are able to divide their total outstanding balance, after financial aid, into easy-to-manage monthly installments. You may choose from an annual plan or a semester-based plan. Please visit hofstra.edu/paymentoptions for more details.
Don't buy Microsoft Office! Students get a free Office 365 subscription, which allows them to install Microsoft Office on up to 5 PCs or Macs and Office apps on up to 5 tablets or phones. They should click the 'MS Office' icon in 'my apps' (the waffle icon) in the Hofstra Portal and follow the instructions to activate their subscription.
