Your Hotchkiss application helps us get to know you and evaluate how you might fit with the School. Hotchkiss uses “Gateway to Prep Schools," an online common application that consists of these main sections: The application fee, payable online, is $70 for each applicant.

Responding to the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the day-to-day for all of us, and as we look forward to the coming academic year at Hotchkiss, we have a number of changes for the 2021-22 application cycle (to welcome students for the 2022-23 academic year) that are intended to ensure fairness, access, and greater convenience for applicants and their families.

Supplemental materials help us understand your interests and abilities, especially in the arts and sports.

Before arriving on campus, please read the Summer Portals Student Handbook which will be emailed following enrollment. All students and parents are expected to read the handbook well in advance of arriving on campus.
Check-in for students are on Sundays from 9 a.m. to Noon. Family members are welcome to come with their children to help them settle in. We allow one day early arrival for students who are flying to get to campus.
