We accept student enrollments online and in person. The Enrollment Center is open Monday – Friday from 8 am – 5 pm. New enrollments are accepted until 4 pm each day.

Serving over 30,000 students from transitional kindergarten through high school, San José Unified is home to 41 schools from Downtown San José in the north to Almaden Valley in the south. The Transitional Kindergarten program is expanding for the 2022-2023 school year. Children who meet one of the following criteria are eligible for Transitional Kindergarten: • Children who turn 4 by February 2, 2022 • Children who turn 4 by September 1, 2022 and live within the boundaries of the following schools:
All our elementary schools offer kindergarten. Children must turn 5 by September 1, 2022 to be eligible for kindergarten in the 2022-2023 school year.
