Online payments must be paid by a student or an Authorized User. Online payments are made within the online student billing portal. Students can login through My.IllinoisState.edu. Authorized Users can login through the Authorized User Login available on our Homepage.
The Office of Student Accounts mails the tuition bill to the student's permanent home address. Payments not received by the due date will result in class schedule cancellation and are subject to a late payment fee.

Your ASU tuition bill can be paid online, in-person, by check, with financial aid, using a a prepaid or College Savings Plan or with a student account refund. Payments are not accepted over the phone.

In accordance with the Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), Appalachian State University and the Office of the Registrar are not able to provide confidential information pertaining to students unless written consent is provided by the student.
At all times, it is the student responsibility to make payments as agreed and to confirm that all payments including those not included in the payment plan are satisfied by the date that registration holds are placed. The only exception to this are last payments in the payment plan.
However, prior term balances for Summer 2 will not be included in the payment plan amount for Fall. The payment plan will auto-calculate the amount of each payment based on the balance associatd with tuition and fees on the account.
If you choose to pay in full for the semester, you must pay the total balance by the first installment due date.
All students with a current semester balance are automatically enrolled in a payment plan at the beginning of the semester. The payment plan consists of five installments for Fall (Aug-Dec) and Spring (Jan-May) and two installments for Summer (June-July).
