Howdy is a web portal at https://howdy.tamu.edu at Texas A&M University that helps students, applicants, faculty, staff, parents and former students more easily connect to their university records and resources. Howdy is the "front door" to the Compass student information system.
Once a student is no longer enrolled at Texas A&M University, a parent's/guardian's Howdy account will be inactivated. If a student re-enrolls at Texas A&M University, the student may re-activate the parent/guardian Howdy accounts by following the aforementioned steps to authorize the parent/guardian access.
In order for parents/guardians to view their student's grades, the student must request this access for them in the Parent/Guardian Access channel on the My Record tab in Howdy.

1. Parent access via Howdy portal - Current students may authorize parent/guardian access to view certain non- directory information (e.g., grades) within Howdy. In order for parents/guardians to gain access to this information in Howdy, the student must request it via the My Record tab in Howdy.
If your account is locked out: 1. Go here: https://password.tfs.tamu.edu and click “Unlock Account”. 2. Enter your username and validate your identity by text message or DUO.
To help you keep track of your application and all materials, click Check Status at the top of the application dashboard.

There might be times when users forget the password that they use to access the DS Storage Manager. Beyond the set number of allowable attempts with the wrong password, the account is locked. To unlock a user's account, the administrator can use the unlock user process.
