As part of its calendar development process, Gwinnett County Public Schools has gathered feedback on calendar options for next school year. This feedback--collected at the local school level from various groups, including students, staff, and parents--provided direction that has led to the development of a proposed 2022-23 school calendar.

With the start of the new school year on August 4, we will begin featuring a student and a staff member each school day on the GCPS website, Facebook, and Twitter. Tune in Monday through Friday (with the exception of school holidays) to meet our shining staff and students!

GCPS’ mask guidance is based on community transmission as determined by the Georgia Department of Public Health. Masks are required in all GCPS facilities during periods of “Substantial” or “High” community transmission.

In partnership with the Gwinnett County Public Library (GCPL), GCPS provides Tutor.com as an online tutoring resource for students.
To prepare for the next decade, GCPS launched a community-wide campaign to invite input on updating its Strategic Priorities for 2010-2020. That update is called the Strategic Direction for 2020-2030. Like its predecessor, it will be a significant guide for the school system’s work, now and in the future.
