What's going on with the HWDSB Parent Portal?

As you know, the launch of the enhanced HWDSB Parent Portal has brought some challenges. We apologize for this and understand your frustration. IT staff are working around the clock to address the most common issues, which involve children missing on portal accounts, the system not recognizing your email address and activating passwords.

What is the parent portal?

Parent Portal is a login-protected space that collects useful tools and information for HWDSB families including your child’s grades, attendance and schedule. Your child’s school can provide support.

What if I am unable to register through the parent portal?

If you are unable to register through the Parent Portal by noon on Monday, August 24, we will be providing an alternate method for these families. Not all children showing on Parent Portal: If the system is not showing all your children enrolled, note that staff are working quickly to add students to family accounts.

How can HWDSB helps help you?

Use the free SchoolMessenger app or website to select how you want to receive these messages – phone, email, app or text (standard rates apply). HWDSB Helps is a free and anonymous way for students to find help for themselves and one another. Tips may relate to student mental health, bullying, substance use and more.
