Last month, to enhance their Sky Watchers science unit, the first graders had a visit from Mr. Bernie Hosko. He brought his sun-safe telescope and the students had the opportunity to view the sun through it! First grade will also visit the Edelman Planetarium in December as a follow up to our science unit.
The 2nd graders have had some guest speakers come in to share their personal experiences with them and build on their classroom learning. First, a retired Philadelphia fire fighter came in to talk about his work. The students were able to ask questions about his past job and see his fire fighting gear.
