How do I access the clever student portal?

The Clever Student Portal is accessible from the school’s website through Beyond the Classroom > Clever Student Portal. Students will enter their NHA username and password when prompted in the portal.

What is Independence Charter School?

Independence Charter School (ICS) provides K-8 students throughout Philadelphia with a next-level, dual-language education experience. Combining exemplary instruction in STEAM academics, a dual-language instructional model and a comprehensive array of enrichment resources in the arts, business and civics, ICS prepares our students for success in the classroom, workplace, in the community and around the world.

Is Independence Charter School a K-8 school?

Independence Charter School (ICS), a Philadelphia K-8 public charter school offering bilingual education, will be embarking on a $9 million, 25,000 square-foot facility expansion designed to enhance ICS’ ability to serving a diverse community of learners. With this renovation, ICS will have its first gym and auditorium, a larger, light-filled cafeteria, rooftop playground and ground-level play area, four additional classrooms, and additional office and meeting space. Construction will begin following the 2018-19 school year, and is slated for completion by August 2020.
