Register Online

Our online system helps automate our processes and give parents lots of abilities in managing their student’s account.

Register by Phone

We will take a registration over the phone; however, after we collect the basic information and payment, you will be emailed a link for your online account. Our online software will allow you to manage your student account.

Register in Person

You can visit us at 135 W. Cortland St., 2nd Floor with credit card (Visa or MC), debit card ($20 minimum), cash, check or money order to: Jackson School of the Arts.

BILLING AND INVOICING INFO

You can pay in full or make monthly payments. Your monthly payment is due by the 1st of each month. Friday or Saturday dance classes, multiply monthly rate by 7 months. (This number includes the one month free)

What is JSA art?

JSA provides unique Art Experiences like field trips, expert guest speakers, and distance learning opportunities that include real-world art practice, as well as Advanced Placement* (AP) and College Credit Plus* (CCP) courses . ( *Beginning sophomore year for eligible students.)

What is JSA in high school?

The Jackson School for the Arts (JSA) is a highly specialized arts program within Jackson High School. Established in 2001, JSA is a nonprofit school for the arts that immerses talented students in a rigorous, enriched arts education through specialized curriculum, activities, student organizations and mentoring.

Plant the Seeds of Creativity!

Children ages 2 to 5 get inspired at Jackson School of the Arts. Our youngest students discover, create, and have fun, all while taking their first steps in creative discovery and self-expression.

Why the Arts?

Think of “the arts” as art, music, dance, and drama. Not only is art fun, art is the perfect way to learn. Learning through the arts is a smart and fun way to enhance brain development, support individual learning, and help children prepare for success in school and in life.

Dance Classes for Young Children

This class is designed for first time dancers to experience class with their caregiver. Your little dancer will have fun dancing to their favorite songs while working on basic dance terminology and coordination. This class will help create fond memories full of laughter and smiles.

Art Classes for Young Children

We have a variety of art classes that can offer your young children various opportunities to try new things and explore their budding creativity. Follow the links for more information on each class.

Join In On the Creativity Without Worrying About The Mess!

The early years are a key point in cognitive development, a time to nurture curiosity and develop self-confidence. This video from last Fall shows Miss Jode leading our little artists in creating a Haunted House in anticipation of the Halloween season.

Kids Create

Kids Create is a class for children ages 3 1/2-5 and is ideal for a child’s first class away from home or as a supplement or substitute to traditional preschool programs. This class runs for the full school year two mornings a week for 2 1/2 hours.

BOE Approves Updated 2021-2022 Calendar

This calendar was updated to reflect June 17 as the tentative last day of school, following the necessary Jan. 3 closure due to staffing shortages.

Free Preschool Lottery for Placement in 2022-2023 Program will be Jan. 17 through Feb. 4, 2022

Lottery will close at 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4. After that, names will be drawn at random to determine placement in the program.
