The mission of Jefferson Township High School is to encourage all students to reach their potential as self-directed and creative individuals who act responsively in dealing with intellectual, social/emotional, technical, environmental, ethical, and fiscal decisions.
The township was named after Thomas Jefferson, the President of the United States at the time the township was created. The township has two large divisions, Milton and Lake Hopatcong. Each half has its own first-aid squad, fire department substation and set of elementary schools.
The portal lets parents view their child's records anywhere, anytime. In response to the privilege of accessing the site, every parent is expected to act in a responsible, ethical, and legal manner. The portal is available to every parent/guardian of a student enrolled in the JCPS District.
The JCPS Parent Portal (run by Infinite Campus) allows you to track your child’s academic progress and develop a partnership with your child’s teachers. Infinite Campus is a secure and convenient way to monitor your child’s attendance, assignments, daily grades, and class schedule as well as bus and health information.
The portal is available to every parent/guardian of a student enrolled in the JCPS District. Parents/Guardians are required to adhere to the following guidelines: Parents/Guardians will not share their password with anyone, including their child.
Parents/Guardians who identify a security problem with the JCPS Parent Portal must notify the JCPS District or the local school immediately, without demonstrating the problem to anyone else.
Parents/Guardians will not use the JCPS Parent Portal for any illegal activity, including violation of Data Privacy laws.

JTHS prides itself of being an inclusive school. As such, JTHS annually sponsors a unified track meet with neighboring school districts through the Special Olympics Unified Sports Program. In addition, JTHS is recognized by NAMM as a Best Community for Music Education for 2017, 2018, and 2019.
