What is Jefferson Township High School?

The mission of Jefferson Township High School is to encourage all students to reach their potential as self-directed and creative individuals who act responsively in dealing with intellectual, social/emotional, technical, environmental, ethical, and fiscal decisions.

What is the JTHS academy?

Applications forthe academies are now open! The mission of the JTHS Academies is to provide select students an alternative, but progressive and elite high school experience. Students who attend the JTHS Academies will engage in an honors-level theme-based curriculum, and move through the program in a cohort with their grade level.

What are the classes at JTHS STEM Academy?

The JTHS STEM Academy students will participate in unique and authentic learning experiences including, but not limited to, CAD Honors, Robotic Engineering, Pre-Calculus Honors, Chemistry Honors, Engineering 1 & 2 Honors, AP Physics, and AP Computer Science A . The program will conclude with a Scientific Research Capstone Experience where during their senior year, students will apply the knowledge and skills acquired from the first three years in the Academy to the completion of the patent process. Beginning Junior year, they will be eligible to receive up to 24 credits from Fairleigh Dickinson University for the following courses, Honors Pre-Calculus/AP Calculus AB/BC, Academy AP Physics 1, Engineering 2 Honors, AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Physics 2, AP Computer Science A, and Scientific Research/Capstone 1 & 2.

Is JTHS an inclusive school?

JTHS prides itself of being an inclusive school. As such, JTHS annually sponsors a unified track meet with neighboring school districts through the Special Olympics Unified Sports Program. In addition, JTHS is recognized by NAMM as a Best Community for Music Education for 2017, 2018, and 2019.
