There’s never any shortage of bright young minds and lightbulb moments at the Elementary Science Showcase. Every year, PCPS fourth- and fifth-grade students come together at the Showcase to present their science projects and discuss their findings with peers from other schools.

What is Classlink?

ClassLink is the district Single Sign-On (SSO) that will be used by students and staff to access digital curriculum/resource sites that are SSO capable. This eliminates the need for a user to remember multiple usernames and passwords.

If you have a registered Parent Portal account, visit https://focusk12.polk-fl.net/focus/ and enter your username and password. Your username is the personal email address that you used when you registered your account.

Updated SAT Test Center Covid-19 Requirements

Title I overview for Kathleen Senior High

Title I-Part A, of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, provides additional funding for supplemental academic support to schools with a high percentage of poverty.

Right to Know Letters

All Title I schools are required to only employ highly qualified teachers and instructional paraprofessionals. Federal law allows parents to obtain certain information about a child’s classroom teacher (s) and instructional assistants and paraprofessionals.

School Improvement Plan

The purpose of a School Improvement Plan (SIP) is to develop a plan with school staff and leaders to help improve the academic achievement.

Compact for Learning

A school-parent compact is a written agreement between the school and the parents of children participating in Title I, Part A programs that identifies the activities that the parents, the entire school staff, and the students will undertake to share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement.

What is the purpose of graduation progress night at Kathleen High School?

Kathleen High School also hosts a Graduation Progress Parent Night to educate parents on requirements, scholarships, and career opportunities. Parents and Students may also schedule a conference whenever necessary through the Main Office.

When do parents have to schedule a conference with their students?

Due to teaching schedules, conferences with teachers must be scheduled Monday through Friday, after 2:00 pm.

What is the transition to high school?

Transitioning to High School. High School presents students with a variety of new opportunities and challenges. High schools are usually larger in size and students often find that the coursework is more difficult. High school students also find that they are expected to be more independent, more focused, and more responsible.
