The office of Student Success Programs (SSP) is here to see both students and their families through the Destination Kent State (DKS) New Student Orientation experience. Although required for all new students, the Parent and Family version of DKS is optional, but strongly recommended for any individual who will be helping to support their student during their Kent State journey.
Your student will spend approximately 3.5 hours in total to complete their required online DKS orientation across two days. Once your student registers for DKS, a welcome kit will be delivered by mail, while registration confirmation, reminders and next steps will be sent to their kent.edu email address. An additional mailed packet will arrive prior to their orientation date with more details and instructions. Your student should check their kent.edu email daily.
