DICK REESE CANOE AND KAYAK RACES. The annual Dick Reese Kipona Canoe and Kayak Races will be held at the northern tip of City Island on September 6 at 10 am. The races have been modified to feature an 8-mile canoe and kayak race on the Susquehanna instead of the traditional canoe sprint races in identical 17-foot canoes.
The 104th annual Kipona Festival has been modified to feature a combination of in-person and virtual activities. This decision was made to ensure the safety of the community, vendors and visitors during the evolving COVID-19 pandemic.
