La Porte ISD on Dec. 15 received a check for $14,074—a rebate for purchases made over the past year from BuyBoard, a statewide purchasing cooperative of local governments, nonprofits and other state entities. In light of the spread of the Omicron COVID-19 variant, we are sharing some information.
The La Porte Education Foundation on Nov. 18 awarded 115 grants to teachers and administrators in La Porte ISD on November 18 totaling $125,154 to fund innovative classroom projects.

Jackson Tarr, Crosby ISD’s defensive coordinator, will become the next head football coach of the La Porte Bulldogs. Lisa Basile and Jose Lozano, meanwhile, will take over the principal helm for the 2021-22 school year at Bayshore and Leo A. Rizzuto Elementary schools, respectively.
