What is ‘parent access’?

It’s a comprehensive system that allows educators and administrators to effectively and conveniently manage student records. It also allows us to share attendance and grade information with our parents. This guide details how to use the ‘Parent Access’ of Genesis.

How do I log in to Genesis parent access?

To access the login screen, click here to proceed to the Genesis Parent Access page . Bookmark this page in your browser for future access. If you forget your password, please click the “Forgot My Password” link to have reset your password and have an e-mail sent to your account.

Who installed little library in Lawrenceville?

Summary

The first thing you will see upon logging-in to our system is the “Summary” at-a-glance page. This provides easy access to recent assignments, current schedule, and this week's daily attendance. At LHS and LMS, attendance is taken for each period, and this class-by-class attendance is available for parents to see.

Attendance

The details for daily attendance will be shown for the school year. Cass attendance will be show using reasonable span of time around the current date. You will be able to see absences, tardies and other codes.

Gradebook

If you click on the "Weekly Summary" icon the current MP average and number of assignment due this week for each class will be shown. The "List Assignments" icon will display a list of all assignment and their grade.

E-mail Notification

You can ask Genesis to send you notification when new grades are associated with your child’s account. In order to take advantage of this, parents have to opt into this feature using "Genesis Message Center" icon.

California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS)

This year LUSD will implement the student, staff and parent CHKS surveys between November 1st and November 12th. The California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) is an anonymous, confidential survey of school climate and safety, student wellness, and youth resiliency. It is administered to students at grades five, seven, nine, and eleven.

Flex School For Online or Hybrid Learning

LUSD has built an option for students who need more flexibility than what our traditional, 5 day a week, in-person instruction offers. Students receive synchronous instruction for all grade levels and live interaction for grades 4-8. If requested, transition back to in-person learning may be made within 5 days.
