What is the focus Leon County Schools Parent Portal?

The Focus Leon County Schools Parent Portal is a tool designed to enhance communication and involvement for you in your child's education. This portal will allow you to monitor your child's progress in school by providing timely access to both assignments and grades that are entered by the teacher throughout the grading period.

When does the new LCS FOCUS portal parent portal open?

The NEW LCS FOCUS Portal Parent Portal will open August 27, 2018, for parents and students. Students will access the portal through Class Link. Student usernames and passwords will be the same as their school network credentials.

The online application is 11 pages. Once you open the Online registration form, ensure that you have COMPLETELY filled out the online registration before clicking the Submit button or prior to attempting to enroll any additional children to prevent errors.

Once you have created your credentials on the portal, please download the free Leon County District Schools FOCUS app for parents and students through the Apple and Android stores. The app is a great supplement to the Focus Portal designed to enable quick and easy access while mobile.

I have done everything right, but the system keeps saying that my info doesn't match, or my child is not a student in the system

We do our best to ensure any data entered is as accurate as possible, but sometimes a students data file is missing a critical piece, addresses are inaccurate, phone numbers are outdated, info is different than it was meant to be, changed from when it was originally entered, not marked correctly, reversed, or something as simple as a mere typo.

What happens to my portal account when my child leaves elementary school for middle school or transfers to another Leon district school?

Focus Parent Portal accounts roll over from year to year, so when your child moves from elementary to middle to high school, you do not have to create a new account.

How does Parent Portal work?

Parent Portal allows the parent to create their own user name and password. When you receive the Access ID and password from the school, you will create an account and then link all your students to your account with the user name and password. You will need to go to your child’s school to receive an Access ID. If you have children at multiple schools, you will need to go to each school to register. Please see creating an account below.
