What is the Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy?

The Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy utilizes the SwimRight® Method which is composed of 8 levels. Using the SwimRight Method, we utilize the swim-float-swim technique as our foundation, and focus on providing children with the knowledge of confidence and safety in and around the water. From these basic skills we take students from beginning stages of swimming all the way to learning all 4 strokes, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.

Who is Lenny Krayzelburg?

Lenny Krayzelburg is a four-time Olympic gold medalist from the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games. Krayzelburg swept the backstroke events and led off the world-record breaking medley relay at the 2000 Sydney Games; earned a gold medal in Athens swimming on the medley relay in preliminaries; and was fourth in the 100m back.

When was Lenny the World Champion?

In 1998, Lenny was the World Champion in 100m and 200m back.

Who was the Olympic team captain in 2004?

In 2004, Lenny was the Olympic Team Captain. At one point, he held all six world records in backstroke, long course & short course. In 1999 and 2000 Krayzelburg was named the USA Swimming "Swimmer of the Year".

What is a parent tot class?

The Parent-Tot program is for children under 2 years old. This class helps to establish comfort in the water and it is also a great bonding time for parents and their children. In this class the teacher will teach the parents how to correctly hold their child in the water, the correct way to take them underwater and the importance of the back float. Our technique is taught using songs and games that introduce what the child will soon be learning later in private lessons.

What is a PT class?

This class is for all new people coming into the PT program. It will help ease the transition of new students coming into existing classes. The teacher focuses on explanations of our method and everything that is done in PT classes. The explanations also help to inform the parent why we do each song/drill/game and teaching the parent how to correctly teach their children to swim

What is a swim right class?

This class is an introductory course to the SwimRight® Method and focuses on the skills in the first level of our method. It is designed for parents that want to spend time with their child while teaching the basics of swimming and safety through songs and games.

What is private lesson?

Private Lessons. This type of lesson is necessary for infants and students who are not water safe and require more attention. It is also recommended for older students with extreme anxiety about the water or behavior that is not conducive to group lessons. How does LK Swim Academy work?

LK Swim Academy uses a perpetual billing system. This process allows for consistency with your schedule while helping your student to have the best progress possible and allowing you ease of knowing you can keep your schedule without having to re-enroll. The initial charge will be for the current month, and the following month as well as the registration fee. We will bill every 25th of the month for the following month.

We recommend private lessons for infants and toddlers or any child who has fear or anxiety in the water. We prefer the group setting with swim lessons so as soon as we can help the child gain confidence, we will recommend a group lesson.

What is a beginner class in swimming?

This class is designed for beginner , intermediate students with no or some prior swimming experience. This class is designed to introduce teens and adults to the aquatic environment while introducing basic skills that will lead to independent, forward progression in the water.

What is level 2 in swimming?

Level 2: For students who are comfortable and independent in the water. To be placed in Level 2, students must be able to float on their front and back, swim independently, and swim a distance of 10 feet. Focuses on independence and distance swimming . Level 3: Build on skills learned in Level 2.

What level is Little Paddlers?

Little Paddlers ( Level 3) : Designed for students are able to swim with the roll over for breath, swim independently, and a distance of 10 feet. Swimmers will focus on the fundamentals of elementary backstroke, freestyle, body rotation and diving. Children will be introduced to dolphin kick, treading, longer distances, and building endurance.

What is bubble baby class?

The Bubble Babies class will get your child comfortable in an aquatic environment and provide the foundation for water safety and independent swimming. A parent or adult your child is comfortable with is required to be in the water during these classes.
