Earn a free associate degree through La Porte ISD's Accelerated College Education Program. Students receive free tuition and books at San Jacinto College as they complete their associate degree while at La Porte High School. Traditional dual credit classes are also offered for students who want to earn college credits while in high school.
Completion of the online volunteer application at www.lpisd.org will serve as written intent to serve as a volunteer at a designated La Porte ISD campus and a release to conduct a criminal background information check. Criminal information obtained is confidential and used only for the purpose of ensuring student safety.
In accordance with the Texas Education Code, Section 22.083, La Porte ISD may obtain criminal history record information on an individual who has indicated, in writing, an intention to serve as a volunteer.

Arizpe, Pavlowich named 2021-22 District Teachers of the Year. Melissa Pavlowich, a third-grade teacher at Lomax Elementary School, and Jaime Arizpe, social studies teacher and coach at La Porte High School were named the 2021-22 District Teachers of the Year at the May 18 La Porte ISD Service Awards celebration at Bulldog Centre.
Jackson Tarr, Crosby ISD’s defensive coordinator, will become the next head football coach of the La Porte Bulldogs. Lisa Basile and Jose Lozano, meanwhile, will take over the principal helm for the 2021-22 school year at Bayshore and Leo A. Rizzuto Elementary schools, respectively.
