Our county is home to approximately 32,395 full-time residents, and our public schools serve almost 4,400 students. There are eleven schools in the Macon County Schools system. There are four elementary schools, one intermediate, one middle, and one high school located within an eight-mile radius of Franklin, the county seat.
The goal of the staff at Macon Middle School (MMS) is to provide each student with a safe nurturing environment that will meet the needs of each student. We strive to bridge the gap between elementary and high school by encouraging students to do their best academically, socially, and emotionally.

Download the access request form, (spanish version: Solicitud de Acceso), complete it, and return it to your child’s school. You must deliver the form to your child’s school. Forms sent through students will not be accepted. You may also pick up a copy of the access request form from your child’s school.
A: Parents who have misplaced the letter will need to contact their child’s school to get another copy.
Home Base helps keep everyone connected and informed about what is happening in the classroom. Students can keep up with assignments, parents can track their child’s progress, and teachers can more easily share information about student progress with parents and students.
Using a single log-in, families with multiple students have the ability to set up their accounts to view all of their students at one time. Access to the parent portal is currently available for students of all grade levels, but it is most beneficial to students in grades 3-12.
