However, they must be supportive of the School’s Christian philosophy and practice. The School is beautifully established on 22 ha in a rural area in Kemps Creek. It has air-conditioned classrooms and a large oval and playing areas as well as tennis, basketball and netball courts. Why Choose Mamre?
The School concentrates on the fundamentals of a good education: literacy and numeracy, because they are foundational to all learning. Over the last four years Mamre has grown rapidly. The policy of the School is to develop full classes and then break them down into smaller groups which then make room for further growth.
Hence, Mamre Oaks is committed as part of the social mission of Caritas Singapore to reach out to low income families. The Enabling Guide is for anyone looking for information and advice on schemes, services, supports and resources related to disability in Singapore.
We had a fruitful morning with Keith Neubronner from CatholicSG Radio, our KOPI TALK host together with Magdelene and Esther as they share about their experiences at Mamre Oaks.
At Mamre Oaks, we engaged the members with different core activities such as cooking, baking, arts & craft, music and yoga to keep them active on a daily basis. We also organise fun workshops and monthly outings to encourage them to be interactive with their surroundings and to learn a new skill.
Our team of staff is equipped with skillsets in caring for our members with mild intellectual disabilities. Safety measures and considerations are put in place to ensure a safe and conducive environment.
We are grateful for the support our volunteers have contributed over the years. Their presence has played a significant role in creating a nurturing and empowering environment for our members.
