The Nutcracker

Magical dolls, life-sized mice, dancing snowflakes, and an enchanting kingdom of sweets return to stage this holiday season for Maryland Youth Ballet’s LIVE production of The Nutcracker. Set to Tchaikovsky’s timeless score, the incredible dancing and dazzling costumes bring to life the story of Marie and her Nutcracker Prince.

The Mini-Nut

The Mini-Nut is MYB’s abbreviated version of The Nutcracker geared towards younger audiences. This one hour version is a great introduction to ballet for our youngest theatre goers. The performance is approximately one hour long with no intermission. A perfect holiday mini-treat!

Studio Company Concert

MYB’s Studio Company helps to bridge the gap between student and professional by maximizing personal coaching and performing. Studio Company dancers are selected by invitation or audition.

Spring Concert

Each year MYB’s Spring Concert includes an exciting compilation of dance featuring such classical favorites as Swan Lake Act II, Les Sylphides, La Bayadere, Sleeping Beauty Act II, and Paquita.

Contemporary Showcase

Showcase featuring students from MYB’s Teen classes and Electives program including Modern, Jazz, Flamenco, and West African.

Year-End

Celebrate the end of the school year school with MYB’s performance demonstration from students in the Youth and Pre-Professional Divisions.

Summer Concerts

MYB’s Summer Festival program culminates with a storybook ballet performance at Wolf Trap’s Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods as well as several free community performances in our studio Black Box Theatre. This Summer MYB will present the classic fairy tale Hansel & Gretel at Wolf Trap’s Children’s Theater-in-the-Woods on July 29 & 30 at 10:30 am.
