Last night, January 31st, the New York State Appellate Court extended the stay of Judge Rademaker’s decision on the Governor’s authority to order a mask mandate. The stay will continue until at least March 2, 2022. As a result, all districts must continue to comply with the current masking guidelines.
The purpose of this communication is to provide you with the latest information on the mask issue for New York State and – specifically, for Middle Country.
We are aware of the latest news regarding the Supreme Court Decision and the mask mandate. Currently, we are awaiting official notification from the Governor’s office, as well as from our attorneys, on what we will be able to do.
