Students who are 16 and older that work in certain industries or qualify for medical reasons are now eligible for Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine, and all persons 16 and up will be eligible to receive the vaccine as of April 19, 2021. If your student has received both doses of the vaccine, we ask that you please let Janice DiSalvio, MHS School Nurse, know. She can be reached at jdisalvio@medwayschools.org, Students who have been fully vaccinated no longer have to quarantine if they are identified as a close contact. Having proof of your student's vaccine status on file will help us to ensure that your student isn't inappropriately identified as a close contact through contact tracing. Each year at the end of semester 1, students in all grades take part in mid-year exams as an opportunity to demonstrate their accumulation of knowledge and learning over the first half of the school year. Unlike tests given on regular school days, mid-years are designed to be more in- depth and address a wider range of topics which necessitates more time for preparation and more time in class to complete. With that in mind, the school has organized four school days as half-days with two tests scheduled each day for students. School will begin at 8:15 on exam days and students will be dismissed from school at 11:30 each day. This will allow students ample time to prepare for their next exams and give teachers time to grade and give feedback on the exams.
