Memorial Junior High Student Council Bake Sale

Members of the Memorial Junior High School Student Council recently found an easy and delicious way to raise money in support of future service projects by holding a bake sale after-school during the boys basketball game versus Solon.

School Board Recognition Month

Return to In Person Learning

Students will return to in person instruction on Tuesday, January 18th. We will continue to follow our health and safety protocols, including our mask mandate for students, staff, and visitors. Thank you for your support and flexibility during this time.

Jr. High Kids of Steel

We are so pleased to share with you that HOPEWELL Junior High has a Kids of STEEL team! We invite your child to be part of the fun (April 30, 2022).

Morning Drop Off Congestion

We have encountered a great deal of congestion in the morning during drop-off causing traffic around the Junior High, down Clark Boulevard and at times on to Brodhead Road. The congestion prevents residents living near the Jr. High from exiting or entering their driveways and bus arrivals.

Make-Up Day

The Make-Up Date for the school closure on Friday, February 4, 2022 will be April 14, 2022. April 14th will be a regular day of school.

NAEP

Randomly selected Hopewell Memorial Junior High School 8th grade students will participate in the NAEP (National Assessment of Educational Progress) . Families of the selected students will be notified, vial mail, of their child's involvement.

Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

Families are to use the left (outside) lane starting near the tennis court. Please do not cross the double yellow line until you get on school grounds near the tennis courts when it turns into a single yellow line. From that point cars are to remain in the outer lane the entire way around the building.

Safe2Say Something

Safe2Say Something is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General. Safe2Say Something (S2SS) teaches youth how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to “say something” BEFORE it is too late. Two-Hour Delays & Early Dismissal Days

Two Hour Delay Information In the event of Two-Hour Delay, the start of the school day will be two hours later than normal. The school day will start promptly at 10:00 AM. Students riding a school bus are to be at the bus stop two hours later than the normally scheduled time. Dismissal time will remain the same (2:55 PM).
