What is the MHS Genesis patient portal?

The MHS GENESIS Patient Portal is a secure website for 24/7 access to your health information, including managing appointments and exchanging messages with your care team.

What is the Milton High School Counseling presentation?

The presentation will include important information regarding program offerings, course selection, and general high school information from the Milton Counseling department, Talented/Gifted coordinator, and ESOL coordinator. A Q&A will conclude the presentation.

What is the MHS parent portal?

The MHS Parent Portal is an online tool. It lets you see your child’s class schedule, assignments and grades, and more. You’ll also be able to submit visitation forms and buy bus tickets through the portal. You can log in to your account from a desktop computer, tablet, or smartphone.

What is MHS family relations?

The MHS Family Relations team helps parents and sponsors build a supportive relationship with the school. If you have a question about your child’s education or home life at MHS, please reach out to our team.

What does MHS do?

MHS provides your child with medical, dental, mental, behavioral, and social work services while on campus. We also make proper nutrition and physical activity a priority.

How many students are in a home at MHS?

Your child will live in a home with a group of eight to 12 students in the same age range. The students are cared for on a day-to-day basis by a married couple. These houseparents become an important support system for your child during their time at MHS.

What to do while visiting MHS?

While you’re visiting MHS, we encourage you to attend campus events. Spend special time with your child at sports games, performances, and family weekend activities.

Why are brick walls important at MHS?

Although you may face some brick walls at MHS, they are very important because they show us how important what’s on the other side is. We’ll support you as you support your child.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

2022 AP exam registration is underway for students who are enrolled in brand new 2nd semester AP courses only (THIS TYPE OF REGISTRATION IS NOT FOR ANY STUDENT WHO HAS BEEN ENROLLED IN A YEAR-LONG FACE TO FACE (F2F) OR GAVS AP COURSE (S) SINCE AUGUST 2021).

SECOND SEMESTER EXPECTATIONS REMINDER

When students return to school for face-to-face instruction on Monday, January 10, 2022, EVERY student will be issued a STUDENT IDENTIFICATION (ID) CARD. The STUDENT ID’s will be distributed through your student’s ADVISEMENT CLASS (see schedule below). ALL STUDENTS will be required to have their school issued ID with them while on campus.

What is the MHS Genesis portal?

The MHS GENESIS Patient Portal is a secure website for 24/7 access to your health information, including managing appointments and exchanging messages with your care team. Along with the new electronic health record, the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal launched at Fairchild Air Force Base (AFB) in February 2017 and and later at Naval Hospital Oak Harbor, Naval Hospital Bremerton, and at Madigan Army Medical Center. On September 7, 2019, MHS GENESIS went live at CAL MED and all of its clinics.

When will I be able to start using the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal?

While patients may be able to log on to the Patient Portal and explore it during the weeks leading up to the transition to MHS GENESIS, the Patient Portal will not be active until September 7, 2019. At that time, patients may begin using the Patient Portal to message their care teams, see their medical notes, look at their lab and test results, and more. Only medical notes, messages and results from September 7, 2019, or later will appear in the Patient Portal.

When patients move, will their new military treatment facilities be using MHS GENESIS?

The Department of Defense has a multi-year plan for all military treatment facilities to transition to MHS GENESIS. CAL MED is in the second wave of military treatment facility to transition to MHS GENESIS. If patients go to a site without MHS GENESIS, their care teams will still be able to view their MHS GENESIS records through the Joint Legacy Viewer software. Patients should stay registered in RelayHealth and Tricare Online so that they can continue to use it if needed when they PCS.

What will I notice about what's new with MHS GENESIS?

With the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal, patients will now be able to directly request appointments and view provider notes. In addition, test and lab results will automatically appear in the Patient Portal.

How often do you need to create a password for MHS?

You will create your MHS GENESIS password. A new password will need to becreated every 180 days.

How is MHS GENESIS different from CAL MED's current electronic health record systems?

With MHS GENESIS, all patient records will be found in one single records system. In addition, for the first time ever, all military branches will use one electronic health records system so that no matter where patients receive their care, their records will follow them.
